Last year I was fishing in July and took my freezer pack out of my lunch cooler and through it in the live well to cool it down. Several others lost fish that day I think due to the heat,mine were all alive so it may have helped who knows.

Replaced mine this past spring in a hurry,so I used treated 2x6 & 2x4 from home depot and carpet from my local furnature/carpet store. I used carrage bolts not lags as they fall out if to loose.

I get the cave plate as level as possible to get the correct oil level in the lower unit. And I use oem water pumps & fuel pump kits as the price is not that much of a diffrence and for some reason they(oem) seem to last longer better pressure ect. Now this could be a flook but it's what I've...
