I have a 2004 F-150 Supercrew Lariat with only 129K miles. About a year ago it started acting sluggish on acceleration and engine was ticking. My neighbor mechanic dropped the fuel tank and installed a new fuel pump and also said it needs more work but driving better. Then he said the timing chain was worn and cam phaser was bad so changed that too. Got it back just B4 hurricane Irma and it ran worse. He's taking it back again tomorrow but everyone is telling me time for a new one. I can't believe it would be unfixable since it's so clean and when detailed I still get compliments. Everyday I see older Fords still in the road. Just sucks. I took such good care of it for the last 13 years, interior is immaculate, repainted last year, lots of chrome accessories, and haven't had a payment in 10 years! Any of you guys had a similar problem?
