We have all noticed the great changes in equipment and techniques in the last 25 years, but have we overlooked the decline in the local bass club? Seems like most towns around here relatively close to a lake used to have at least one and usually several.
What really got me thinking about it was when, in a casual conversation with a stranger, I was asked what trails I fish. Around here the minor league trails have really taken over and displaced the clubs where you know the guys you fish with and against. Guess the trails are better for stoking egos of all the guys who claim to be pro fishermen on Facebook. Are there still buddy clubs in your area?
