The summer Florida sun is definitely in full effect with temps getting close to the 90's every day. Water temps are also quickly on the rise and bass will start going deeper very soon, if they haven't started already. With the rainy season upon us, water levels in the Florida Everglades will quickly start rising, meaning the bass will have access to the marsh areas again very soon. What does that mean for us Florida anglers? Time to slow it down, fish deeper and slower in the Everglades. Night fishing also picks up in the summer months as the waters cool down and the big ones start feeding when the surface temps cool off a couple of degrees.
